The death toll keeps rising from the devastating earthquake-related Tsunami in Asia... sad news for so many people. Almost 80,000 are feared dead so far. (Just heard from my own friends from India, and they report that their relatives are all safe.)
Here in the Western US, we're getting heavy rains from a winter storm, causing some flooding north of here, near Sedona, where people are being evacuated. As I am busy working on several projects, trying to wrap up my own affairs for the year -- and to plan for next year, the scenes from Asia, combined with heavy rains here so close to home, are an awsome reminder of nature's power and the meaning of life.
